Artiste : Benjamin Webi, the oldest in a family of three, two boys and a girl, holds a diploma in marketing and advanced diploma in the same field.

ancestry: did music as a subject in Nairobi school, where I joined the school choir, participating in music events, festivals and so on, for two years, then relocated to Mombasa were I joined Aga Khan Kenya secondary (was a private and separate branch of Aga Khan schools then), finished in 2002; and in Feb. 2003, I left Mombasa and came back to Nairobi to continue with theory of music, which he did till grade 4. I have been playing the guitar since 1996. After completing the grade 4 theory exam, I then began teaching guitar at the same school and much later on, elementary Piano,.

Best Diet : Chapatti, chicken stew with salad.

HOBBIES: taking long walks, listening to playing and writing music, swimming and watching movies.

Credits : My first stint with the industry was mid, 2003 when I met The Votaries, who were recording their debut album FAITHFULNESS and would spend many a free day with them, playing the guitar and consequently on particular songs in their album. I was introduced to the executive producer, Steve ‘Steve-O’ Ominde of SOULCHILD RECORDS, who also worked with one of the members of The Votaries, Ben ‘Gittx’ Gitau & In September 2003, signed on to the label and began working on the debut album, OUTSIDE MY WINDOW. Worked with Richard Kasika on a kenyan based group called Bairiki’s single, Leo ni Leo as an instrumentlist,  with Ben ”Gittx” Gitau on the Votaries album, on two songs. Did all the tracks on my album with Gittx, collaborated with Kiki, Holy Dave, The Votaries and worked closely with Steve “O” of the Soul child studio’s as a studio artist and instrumentalist. worked with K.K. (kamau Karongo) on ‘ngoro yakwa’!

'The breakfast show' with Peninah Karibe, Has had two radio interviews with Yafesi for 93.3 Hope Fm , Tina (now in Hot 96FM,) Annie kiguta also for 93.3 Hope FM  ( though now in capital) and Njugush at 91.5 Homeboyz radio.(all radio stations being Kenyan based)

Was nominated for two KISIMA awards in 2006, in the 'Most promising Artiste' and R&B categories.

Nominated in the First annual One Gospel music awards 2008 in 3 categoeries; best artiste, best live gospel performance and best R&B song. One gospel is a DSTV 24 hr gospel channel, chnl 331.

THE ALBUM, ‘OUTSIDE MY WINDOW’

The album has 12 songs, predominantly R&B, but fused wit raga, hip-hop and neo soul. collaborated with Gospel artistes, KIKi, Holy Dave, The Votaries and executive producer, Steve-O. Ben ‘Gittix’ Gitau and Steve ‘Steve-O’ Ominde produced it.

The singles currently playing are; the title track, ‘Outside my window’, ‘Everlasting love’, ‘Like a child’ and ‘ Free’ ft KISIMA NOMINEE hip hop artist Holy Dave.
